When you are overweight, the best thing you can do is to look for personal help. Visit a physician and ask him or her to send you to a nutritionist or dietician. Ask if you are physically capable of performing sports (ask for a sports medical check up) and go to a gym to get some guidance from fitness trainers. You can even hire a personal trainer if you have the financial resources for that!

Losing weight is almost all about eating less calories than you burn. Some fitness trainers and nutritionists are too much caught up with details and eating healthy every single day for the rest of their lives.
