Philosophy & Common Problems

95% of all people starting with dieting, working out and trying to get in shape, fail. That is a big number and it means that you might be one of those people who will give up after a few weeks of your diet, that you will end your gym membership next month and that you will try out a new diet that will also fail miserably.

Why did I start with this depressing news? Because I want you to know what you are up to!
There are, in my opinion, 3 main raisons why people fail:
  1. Lack of knowledge: This is one of the most important reasons. When you have to rely on the information you get from the media or from the fitness industry, you are doomed. There is no way that they will give you success on the long run. With the information I give you on my website and in my YouTube videos you should get yourself a good amount of basic information to help you find your way in the chaotic world of fitness and weight loss.
  2. Bad motivation: What is your reason to lose weight? Probably looking better for yourself, to impress others, to improve your health, to feel better etc. Those are all pretty good reasons, but most of us are not prepared to give up their lazy lives on the couch and their favourite snacks. That is very natural, because human beings are programmed (just like other living creatures) to not waste energy and to always make sure we have energy reserves (body fat). I am trying to help you find the best way for YOU to lose weight and to stick to your diet. Everybody is different and everybody has different needs. That is why mainstream diets and workout routines only work for a certain amount of people.
  3. Unrealistic goals: How long do you reckon on staying on a diet? Most people think a diet or nutrition improvements are for only a few months until they have reached their goal and then can start to eat like they used to do in the beginning. Another example is that some people think they will be able to lose 50 pounds of fat in just 4 weeks. That is unrealistic and you will mostly lose water and muscle mass.

On this website you can find a lot of information about nutrition, fitness, health, flexibility and supplements. You will notice that there is a lot of disagreement about health and nutrition. There are a lot of opinions about nutrition and researchers are often not agreeing with each other. For someone who has less experience in this field it is difficult to find the truth. I will solely stick to what is considered the truth right now and will not recommend you to buy anything you do not really need.

The first step to self improvement is accepting yourself and the situation you are in right now!

The best way to workout is the way you prefer!’

Let this day count!

Those are three quotes I like to use. Start with accepting yourself, then workout in a way that you like and finally make sure you do something useful every day from now on!

Stop comparing yourself to others, because you are not somebody else. Even though this makes sense, way too many people compare themselves to others and think they are doing something wrong, because others make better and quicker results!

There are so many different ways to workout and so many different exercises that there are plenty of options to choose from. When you do a workout that you dislike, the chance that you succeed is very slim! Do the exercises you like and use them in a workout routine and you are more likely to succeed on the long run.

Nutrition plays a very important role in getting in shape. However, it is difficult to know what to eat and how much you can eat. There are so many opinions if it comes about nutrition that it is nearly impossible for someone without knowledge about nutrition to find out what is true and what nonsense is. My idea about nutrition is that you can better just trust people and organisations that are not trying to sell you anything. It is better to not trust fitness magazines, TV commercials and advertisements when it comes to nutrition.

Another group of people you should ignore, or at least not take to serious when it comes to nutrition are the fitness and personal trainers. Those are not educated enough in the field of nutrition and the fitness and supplement industry work together in a lot of ways. They often try to indirectly sell you supplements that you probably do not need.

Although it is important to listen to different sides of the story and eventually form your own opinion. That is what I did myself. I listened to a lot of people on the internet and in videos on YouTube and read a lot of books and articles to eventually find out what I believed. Do not fully trust on my experience and knowledge, but take your health in your own hands! The more you know, the easier it is to reach your goals!
